Default Tilghman Island

In Tilghman for the week for summer vacation with my family. Crabbed today and very slow. Managed enough for dinner, but am told razor clams are the bait of choice. We had chicken necks. Anyway going to head south towards James Island. / little chop tank area. Nothing but skates in the Choptank. Any reports appreciated. Looking for hard heads.

Skates are everywhere now. We saw a bunch of them out today.

While catching Spot to liveline with, we caught a fair amount of small Croaker in about 20' of water.

Default Report

Fished all around the mouth of the Choptank and out in the bay. Finally went up in the river on some oyster beds in about 20'. Caught 16 hard head and 2 spot on one drift. Fished for about and hour and bite ended with the tide. He ranged from 9" to 14".
