Actually, if you blow the photo up, you will see the piling farthest to the left is not my piling, but another slip that heads out the creek (90* opposite mine). It keeps me from being able to head slightly above my slip and letting the wind push me (centered) into my slip. Whenever the wind is from the east, it's a ***** to back her into the slip.

Therefore, I now cheat and pull her "head in". Granted, that's not kosher, even on the western shore
If I had Mako Mikes slip, I'd back in too

Now if I had a bow thruster like Jeff
