Default 5/20/15 Decent Fish

Got a couple friends to run out on Capt. John's boat looking for some "tweener" fish (not trophy's but midsize). We only ran 7 boat rods and picked up 7 fish. Largest was 29 inches. Most were 25-27 inches; and we had only a single fish that measured 20 inches. We tossed back 8 or 9 fish that would have gone in the box last year (18-19 inches).

It was windy this morning Glad we were on a 46 Markley We hit three areas before we found a pod of fish (can't say where because Tawn was running a charter in the same area; and not enough fish to put a lot of pressure on them).

Not only did we catch some fish, but Capt John fixed some rockfish platters for all of us (rockfish, french fries, cole slaw, and drinks). It was the perfect end for a great day.

Nice to hear both of you caught fish with boat / board rods. Going Friday and may run south. Heard there are still a few fish being caught on boards down there.

Glad you got some that day...

I struck out around the sewer pipe, northern side of the bridge, and Love Point...

Had to settle for some perch action to make sure I did not get skunked...

Was it me or did the tide seem like it stayed out all afternoon ?
