Default Bay Bridge area Thursday am.

I couldnt go offshore with Billj today due to a prior engagement this evening but the urge to fish got the better of me and we fished locally this morning. We had to work hard but found a few fish including a keeper croaker when fishing for bait. Live Bait was small spot and jumbo spot only. Small ones were wirey and caught the fish. Biggest rock went over a little over 30" and lost a bigger one due to a leader snap. (I use 30lb leader that must have been frayed from pilings or other fish)

That's not a bad day Greg. There is a ton of stuff around the bridge that will shred a line or leader. I use 50# leader for rock and blues. Going off shore would have been fun but there are plenty days ahead.......Gary

How did that new anchor windless work? Those were some nice fish.
