Default Is it me, or what??

Hey guys, warning, this is just a venting post... I was trolling up in the Patapsco this morning.. ( lots of shorts, no keepers).. I was way out of the channel, a 45-50ft searay type boat approached from my port, at probably wot...I counter maneuvered, he changed course, I again counter maneuvered.. I had to make a fast, emergency change of course, and was only able to avoid a collision by no more than 5ft.. I really thought that he had to be aiming for me, on purpose.. I was a nanosecond away from making his day go very bad, when I saw his face, he was total oblivious to his surroundings... Until that point, I honestly, whole heartedly, believed it had to be intentional... I am very attentive to my surroundings, at all times, and give everyone the righ of way... I just can't understand how someone can operate a boat, and be totally clueless...

Joe...

Just last night at about 10:00pm in full darkness I had a ~16' jon boat with no lights come out from behind a bridge piling and cross my bow (46' Markley). I about **** myself. It was all I could do not to chase him down and tell him what an idiot he was, but then I remembers; you can't fix stupid.

I've had the same issues with yakkers up in Bar Creek. They are out after dark, and sneak out from behind bridge pilings.

The other night we had an evening trip and a squall came up. As I was coming into Sandy Point to seek refuge for a bit a bunch of Mexicans were heading out in a small johnboat with no lights. We hope they made it
