Default So close yet so far away! 49lbs 14oz's

Hey guys,
Thought I would give a CBBT update. We went eeling for a long time with the sole purpose of catching a 50" fish on Lee Tippett's boat two days ago. For the last four years Kevin and I have come down to the CBBT for a week to try and catch a 50" fish. We don't normally jig, or troll, just eel to try and catch that elusive 50" fish. Three years ago we got one over 50lbs but it was only 49.5."

Two days ago we got close again, but not close enough. 49.25" and 49lbs, 14oz's.

ARRRRGGHH So close!
