Default Weekend fishing TPL/BPL area

Was very slow. Sat was better than Friday but it was slow none-the-less. Ended up with a couple of keepers to 32-33" but no big fish. I trolled my typical spring spread but swapped out baits on 3 rods with smaller baits. Smaller baits caught most the fish. Now that the regulations have dropped to 18", I think smaller baits are the ticket. Of course I am looking forward to chumming too as the best chumming takes place from now until the rays show up.

I did well Sat just south of the West River. None big, but a steady pick of 24's and 25's all in a fairly tight spot I circled back to for about an hour. Caught them all on two spoons I had out.

On Sunday I fished with my 10 year old daughter around Bloody Pt. We spent about 3 hours using fresh cut alewive and soft crab. I tried jigging for some flounder. My daughter caught the anchor line twice. Not a nibble otherwise. Around 4 pm we decided to troll heading back to the dock. We caught a little 21 incher just inside Eastern Bay on what has become one of my most productive lures. A white and chartreuse Hyper Striper Stump Jumper with a 6 inch white shad.
