Default How about a fishing report?

Hey guys.................haven't posted a report over "there" since all the BS started on October 20th. Figure that its time to get "back to business".

Fished yesterday, Saturday, November 21 from Thomas Point to Bloody Point. Crew was a buddy from my marina, Dr. George and his pal Garith. Left the dock promptly at 6:30 am. Dang...there were even more crab pots than just a few days earlier. "Most" are well marked with flags, and "most" are spaced far enough apart to fish in between, but you cannot let your guard down. Pots are as deep as 70 feet on both the east and west sides. I had six lines in the water when the wwb lines gets hit. I handed the rod to Dr. George and told him to hang on. I really enjoy fishing with George as he truly enjoys this sport we call fishing............................

About the time George had his fish half way to the boat, a planer rod with a 4/2 tandom back 75 feet gets hit. I handed the rod to Garith and took the helm. Both guys battled their fish and soon it becomes evident that both fish are going to arrive at the boat on opposite sides about the same time. This would have been a good time for "auto pilot", but we managed. George lands his personal best 38 inches and Garith lands a nice 37 inch fish.

After a couple of hour lull, another planer line gets hit with a 6/2 tandom back 125 feet. George gave up his turn to Garith and soon a fat 39 incher was brought aboard. After resetting rods, the guys and I decided it was time for a little lunch. George surprised me with a little gift from his wife, May. Seems May had remembered that I loved her banana nut bread from the first time that George fished with me earlier in the year. Bless her heart, May got up at 4:00 am to make me a loaf of her homemade banana nut bread. You got a good woman there George!

I had no sooner told the boys that we would fish for another hour or so when I hear the drag giving from one of my reels. "Fish on boys"........"Big fish on". My drags are set real tight. Most times it takes a 40+ inch fish to take any drag. Okay George, you're up. Typical of a good fish, the rock stayed deep all the way to the boat. I knew that this would be George's "new" personal best. I held my breath as the rock made one last dive at the boat nearly wrapping in the prop We took a quick pic of George with his new personal best 44 inch before releasing the big girl to fight again another day........................

Stopped by my favorite place for old times sake for a momento of a very fun day...............................

Congrats Dr. George and......... May........this banana nut bread sure is good.......Mark

I swear I'm gonna' have to HO with some of you trollers in the spring to catch me a big fish like that.

Fishing from my little bass boat, I'm ecstatic to land a Rockfish that's barely legal.

That looks like it was one hell of a fun trip as evidenced by the
