Default Friday upper bay

Took 3 friends out fishing yesterday. Left Bowleys Marina and found some very small blues at the mouth of Middle River. Played with them for 15 minutes and then went bottom fishing with some peeler crab and night crawlers at several oyster bars. No perch to be had, only caught small catfish. Left and went to the mouth of the Chester and a little inside and found small blues and small rock but only a few. Lots of bait. Left and went down to LP bouy to sewer pipe trolling and found same small blues and rock breaking in pods all around. Left and went north and found big schools of breaking fish up by Belvedere Shoals. Managed a bunch of blues up to 4# and some small rock jigging metal jigs. Started trolling 15 Tonys and picked up a 28" rock. Slow morning but lots of action from 11:00 to 1:00. Left to run home and saw several more schools of breaking fish up by 7 Foot Knoll.

It seems there are little fish everywhere. Just when the temp drops to make fishing more enjoyable for us fat guys, there aren't many decent fish anywhere.

Too much boat traffic on Saturday afternoon. We ran all over and could find any keepers on Saturday. We caught a lot of fish on top water and small jigging spoons but larger fish eluded us for the day.. Most trips recently we have found pods of keepers in the shallows on top water that have been feeding on silversides. This weather pattern change should change things soon!
