Fish Report 4-17-2010

[Fish Nut]

Quick report gang. Still recovering from Friday Tiki and Saturday 4’ - ????? waves. Had a crew of 5 and headed out of Solomon’s late due to the crew not showing until 6:30am. Lines in at around 7:30 Marked some great bait pods in deep water with nice marks underneath them. Hooked up a nice 40” + class fish that the crew decided to beat in the head with the net. Had the leader but after the fourth beating the fish spit the hook. Nice release….. Trolled some more and before I knew it we were South of Hoppers Island light Hooked up 4 more fish. Kept 3, a nice 41”, 35” & 30” plenty of filets for the crew. Around 11:30 a nice big wave flipped the planner board and made a mess of the lines. Pulled up everything and headed for the barn. I shoved the bow of the Carolina Classic in the waves and she ate all the way home. I love the 24 degree dead rise. Back at the dock by 12:30pm. 3 fish on Chart two on white. 3 on Mylar Fish Nut lures & two traditional. Stayed in Sunday for recovery and riggining….
