Default Eastern Shore Pond Hopping

So here's the deal. Next week looks like several days in the upper 40's to lower 50's. As of yesterday, the perch weren't biting at Beechwood Park (Magothy) and I am thinking of a trip to the Eastern Shore to do some Crappie and Bass fishing.
I'll open it up to anyone who wants to go. I have a place with several large fishable ponds that can accomodate lots of anglers. Plan to drive your own vechicle (or if only three or four go I can drive). Lots of parking available.
I anticipate the day to look like this:

1) 9 am go to Clydes get shiners
2) 10 am leave for the shore
3) 11:30 arrive at a little local store for subs or sandwiches
4) 12 noon walk back to ponds (hunting boots or LL Bean boots are best)
5) 12:30 arrive at ponds and start fishing
6) fish until just before dark
7) get a hamberger for the ride home
8) get home around 7:30 pm (if you drive, you can leave whenever you want)

You will need freshwater liscense, bucket or bubbler for shiners, small amount of tackle (small hooks, bobbers, any lures you want-mepps #3 or 4 work great, rod, reel, shoes/boots that can get muddy).
We will be walking for about 15-20 minutes to reach the very back ponds, some are closer (5 min walk) if you have kids or can't walk far.
We will be in the wild, no bathrooms around.

There's enough water/ponds to accomodate as many people as want to come.
I'm thinking Wed or Thurs for the trip.
Anyone want to go? I haven't fished these ponds for a while, but they have been quite productive in the past. There are enough ponds, that you can jump from one pond to another all day. I like to take a small backpack with dry socks, water bottle and whatever else you want to take. One item I have found invaluable is a small pair of your wife's pruning pliers to cut your way into a sweet looking spot to fish. Take a pair of fishing pliars to get the chain pickeral off the hook as well!!!
Lets go.

The earliest I could possibly go is Thursday, and I'm definitely good for Friday.

I actually have a few days of good work coming up and boy do I need it!

I'd love to go, so of either of those days work, let me know. I LOVE pond fishing.

Ok so the long rang forcast shows Thursday to be 51* with only 20% chance of rain. If Scott can make Thursday, lets make it so.

The main reason not to make it Friday, is that the PSG flea market is Sat and Sun.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday

I have my schedule cleared for Thursday now (gonna' work through the night on Tuesday and Wednesday ) so I can go.

Mike.....whatdoyathink?

Marty...I have a buddy that I fish freshwater with all the time, and I'm pretty sure he could go since he's suckling the state's teat right now too. Cool guy, did his time in the USMC. Would it be ok if I invited him along? If you prefer to limit the people that know about the place I totally understand.

I think I may be able to pull that off....Might not be able to drive, not sure yet....Depends on a lot of things...

I am guessing that USMC is Lance ?

I am in as long as I can make it work and I should be able to make that happen....

Sounds like a blast....

Marty, do we have to bring water ? Could we bring other beverages as well ?

You guys can bring anyone you wish. As far as beverages and such, bring whatever you want, just know you will be carrying bait, rods, tackle back to the ponds (15-20 min walk).

There's lots of parking, and as I said a little country store that makes sandwiches or subs. It's so country that normally, if you work in chicken houses, you have to step in a tub of bleach before you go inside.

There are enough ponds that once we leave the truck, we may not see each other until we meet back at the pickup to come home.

I generally walk to the back ponds (flipping a mepps along the way) and work my way back to the truck if the back ponds are not producing.

If anyone needs a ride, I should have room for one or two.

We have enough water for 15-20 anglers. Take the kids out of school, keep the women folk home from work, enjoy a day in the outdoors.

Phil; sorry you can't make it. I guess you won't see Scott and Mike with their new Alabama rigs.
