Keith,

When you run you planer lines that flat do you have a hard time getting a small bait (i.e. 2 oz chute w/9" shad all the way out to the end of the boards?

Yes, we sometimes move them back but the problem still exists to a lesser extent.

The small baits are a little harder to get outboard, and you cannot see the release clip when the planer line is submerged. We still manage to get them out there.

Jerry,
I do the same thing and it helps to just speed up to like 5mph for a short amount of time to get them out.
