Default Watch the snow on your boat covers

Last year the snow piled up so deep and was so heavy on my cover that the pressure broke my windshield....which then sliced right through my new sharkskin cover.

I'd hate to see any of you fellas with nice boats have something like that happen.....

Thanks for heads up. I shoveled the driveway - each shovel full felt like it was 15 lbs. As much slush as snow.

FWIW: If your boat is under a tree - might be wise to pull her out.

Years ago - I had a boat stored under a tree. Heard a WHUMP - entire tree load of heavy snow crashed down. Crushed the bimini top and the legs went out through the side curtains. Top was ripped as well.

This snow is sticking to trees in same way.

I was fortunate enough to be able to pull the boat into a heated garage yesterday and get the ice off of it.

It's amazing how heavy, thick and stuck to the cover that ice can get.
