Default Saturday 4/30

Left out of sandy point around 5:30 and ran to the channel just below the bridge and dropped lines. Steadily marked fish in 45-50 ft but couldn't get any to bite. Got a call from a friend in the same area that he was on some fish in deeper water so decided to head that way. In about 94 ft of water boat rod with a chartreuse umbrella 8 bars back goes off, shortly after we were welcoming aboard the first fish of the season . Measured out to be 38". Worked the same area for a while longer when another boat rod with a 8oz chartreuse umbrella 4 bars back goes off in 85 ft of water. Measured at 37". Trolled around for a little while longer with no more bites, called it a day around 2:00 and headed back to the ramp.

Thanks for the report. It has been a strange season this year. Congrats on 2 nice fish.
