Default Yet another expensive spring

Well my 8mo Black Lab kinda did me a favor. I have been wanting a new sonar for a couple of years now...Well she decided that the wires protruding from my transducer on my 25 Parker looked tasty. Wife didn't realize I could just buy a new transducer... I was first set on a Lowrance HDS touch, but after 2 trips to the Bay Bridge Boat show I have ended up with the new Simrad Evo2 with Chirp transducer. Not sure if I did right but everything I have read and heard leads me to believe its the latest and greatest. Anyone have any opinions on Simrad or Chirp? Meanwhile I don't know whether to high five my pup or beat her. The $1300 unexpected purchase stings a little.

Lots of cash getting injected into the economy. ~$6000 for me so far this spring and I haven't gotten Bill Judges bill yet!
