Default Better Late Than Never Key West

Fished for a few days in Key West at the beginning of March... Have went with a great captain for the last 8 to 10 trips, Chris Troccet on the Reel Fly... Great guy, we always have a blast and stay in touch throughout the year.

As always fishing was amazing. Some pics attached. We ended up throwing 20 to 25 pound blackfin tuna back one after another because we had caught so many. Brought about 50 pounds of fish home...

Got a very nice Jewfish, a first for me, more Bonita and tuna than anyone could count... The usual snappers - lane, mangrove, mutton, numerous grouper including some nice reds, cobia, several species of sharks, sharpnose, sandbar, and hammerhead, all released at the boat... And much more...

Always a great time and an awesome way to start the fishing season.

Nice fish Mike. At least you got out. I got blown out of two trips last time down to the keys.

Bruce,

We had one day that was 15 plus knots and it got a little messy out by the sub wreck but otherwise the weather worked out.

Waiting until March seems to help with the winds, February always seems to be windy down there.

We go out on a 31' Contender and she handles the conditions well.

Mike
