Default Report- 12/30 PLO

Bagged the OCMD trip due to fear of heavy seas due to yesterdays big blow and opted for a trip to just over the VA line from PLO. My crew ended up being my son, neighbor, and Don Richett. We trolled all day and only landed 2 fish, a 33" and 36". It was tough out there and I think we did better than most. Despite the cold air, we were warm and dry. The heat buddy heater sure did its job! Seas were pretty calm and we had one of the nicest sunrises I had ever seen.

Paul OCMD is calling me hard!

I forgot to mention that I spoke with Capt Kyle of Doctors Orders and he is moving his boat to VA beach and he is looking for crews. He is a good guy and a good capt. Give him a call if you are looking for a VA beach charter! http://www.rocksolidcharters.com/

I'm heading down in the am with the family for New Years. I"ll call around to some friends down there and see what gives. Might get lucky and get out for a few hrs on a friends rig.

Thanks for the invite Greg. I'm always ready to go fishing. We had high hopes after making the trek to PLO SP. We stayed in touch with some others working the area and considered ourselves pretty lucky to have at least one keeper in the box. Both of fish we caught were caught at the same time. Never were able to coax another bite. Toward the end of the day we heard a 50 1/2" fish had been caught in the same general area by 'Skirt Chaser'; I think I remember him saying it weighed around 53#. Congrats to him....Don
