Default Versus to Become the NBC Sports Network on Jan 2nd

I hope they still run fishing, hunting, shooting and other outdoors shows.

Like we really need more talking heads pontificating about the next NFL game......

I look forward to the early Saturday morning fishing shows.

I know what you mean and I was asking the same thing. I sure hope they still run those shows. I fish on Saturdays but watch them Friday evenings and Sundays.

Versus will be the NFL network, according to what I have heard.

NBC is making be bucks on the Sunday night game. Thursday night game will be the next prize for NBC.

I heard it was going to be MSNBC that takes over Versus. First show is Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz throwing marshmellows at water buffalo. Second show is Chris Mathews hunting wild boar with beanbags. It's supposed to be very exciting, I heard it sent a "thrill up his leg".
They are trying to convince Keith Oberman to return for some "Hillbilly hand fishing"; but they are still in negotiations.

Some of the outtakes will be shown on the show "When vacations go wrong".

Default Good info on the channel's history...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versus_(TV_channel)

Looks like they've been trending towards the mainstream for a while now. Doesn't sound good for those of us who appreciated the old OLN channel....
