Default Sunday 10/26

Hit the Patapsco about 7:30 a.m.. My girl wanted to try crabbing, one last time. We dropped traps in 10+ ft... Ran them a couple times, no luck.... So we left the traps to soak, and put out a 5 rod spread. Before I got the 3rd rod out, a fat 24 took a 4oz Chartuse bucktail, with a 6in white shad. Fished for about 1/2 hour, then went to check traps... Bait not touched. Went back to fishing. Blow boats were out in force, a couple of them are lucky that I am easy going... Wind started whipping, pulled in lines, and traps, home in time fore game. Crabs are gone, time to concentrate on fishing...

Joe.

Thanks for the report. Had a late night Sat and didn't feel like running over there Sunday. It was blowing pretty good on the ES and we had other stuff to do so we bagged it. Sorry your crabs left. I'm seeing crab pots out in as deep as 40-50' of water now! Kinda of a pain in the ass when it's rough out and you not expecting them to be there.

Jeff; don't worry, those deep crab pots will be gone soon

I heard some people on the radio bitching about crab pots being in the channel. I am ok with the crabs heading south, my girl, not so much.... She is making plans to have me build topless traps, and doing her homework, trying to see if I can run a trot line.... Lol. Me, I am ok, time to concentrate on big fish.

Joe
