Yup. Marlbro is the First this year. Then Frederick, Kent Island, Tri State, Pasadena sportfishing group, Dorchester&Annaplois, Essex, Solomons, and Chestertown

I think Marlbro fired back up to take advantage of the Timonium shows absents. It also looks like an event organizing Firm is doing it and promoting it. Everything is Highly Advertized. They have a nice group of vendors and speakers. However, they also resurected the 10 - 12 entry fee from the Timonium show.

a lot of other little community shows and some fresh water themed shows during the next couple months.

I would go to UM if it were $5 to $7. I know it sounds petty but $12 is a little absurd.

Heck I MIGHT still go anyway if I have nothing else to do.

The Fredrick show has a lot of potential. They stepped up a few notches with a new location at the Fredrick County Fairgrounds basically unlimited space. They have booked a lot of vendors and have seminars covering most beginner and advanced topics.

Now the important item is who has the best food:
These are just my opinion’s :

Kent Island: has the best Bloody Mary’s

Tri State: has the awesome breakfast at Happy Harbor Flounder and eggs, they even serve SCRAPPLE....
Bloody Mary’s for trollers Mimosa for the LTJ guys

PSG has some awesome oysters

Essex’s Has the best PITT BEEF: ask Charlie. S I never seen a human do so much damage on two sandwiches so quick. For an old guy he still has a healthy appetite.

Chestertown Fire hall: They have the best Chicken plate made on an open Pitt, that I have had the pleasure of eating. Guys you need to get some of this….

Thanks for thinking the Chestertown VFC BBQ Chicken stands up with some of the GREAT food offered at other shows! We will be doing it again this year and including some other surprises hopefully...... One thing I can say is we will be having some guest speakers this year. Look forward to seeing everyone over the LONG winter

Hear you about the high entry fee.

Never understood that. No one minds a few dollars - $2.00 - $ 5.00 - any thing higher , IMHO - drives people away.

Real idea would be if they charge $10.00 - refund $5.00 if you spend $100.00 and full refund if you drop $200.00 or more.

Vendors would do better and likely more would attend.

Can't believe my eyes... $12... to waste three hours of your time with fellow friends and fishermen alike... That's PEANUTS....

What else ya gonna do ???

And don't even get me started on what we fishermen spend in a tackle shop.

Crap, you should see our bar tab at a MSSA meeting....

Again, unless theres a bit in the ocean, Im there and hope to see you all there too
