Default Freshwater Fishing on Lake El Salto, Mexico

So last week I took 5 days and went fishing with some good lifelong friends down in Mexico. We booked a few nights at Anglers Inn on Lake El Salto which is about 2 hours northeast of Mazatlan.

The bass fishing was AWESOME. I caught nearly 300 bass in 4 days of fishing. The biggest anyone in our group caught was a hair over 7 pounds, but others there landed some fish up to 12 pounds. The lake record is 18 and some change I think.

We used a lot of Storm 4" swimbaits which I've never really used on freshwater lakes before. The bass TORE THEM UP! We also threw a lot of Zara Spooks in the early morning for great topwater action.
