Splashed my boat on Saturday afternoon. Went for a ride to make sure everything was working and check to see if we could see any activity.

Didn't mark anything north of the bridge on the eastern side.

We marked a lot of fish near Matapeake in 80' of water. They were all holding at about 60'. Water temp was a balmy 43°. A few warm days should help bring the bite on.

Well; it finally happened for us. We took Bruce's boat (Hook Em) out for a shakedown cruise and picked up a nice fat 43 inch pig

Headed to a meeting tonight, so no time for the pic. I have to get it off my phone and onto the "Puter"
I'll post the photo later

Oh Heck; I can be a bit late for a meeting
First fish of the season for me.
Thanks Bruce

p.s.
We also saw the Coast Guard training vessel "Eagle".
And, I always love seeing the wake of a fishing boat headed home

Nice fish Bruce and Marty

The fish we have had trolling so far this season have been coming long off the board. Short lines have gone virtually untouched. That should change as the water warms up next week and menhaden start to show in numbers

Fished Saturday afternoon for the first time time in two weeks out of Annapolis

Water was 45 degrees. Blow out tide (almost had trouble loading my boat on the trailer water was so low). Almost no bait and very few marks. Tolled with lines in the water for about 3 hours or so. One fish while setting lines.. a nice 44"er in 48' of water or so.

I am hoping to see more bait and fish with some sun and water warming up.

Today on this date the last few years we have been at least 50 degrees at TPL. Yesterday was 45 degrees. 2010, which was a fantastic preseason the water was almost 55 degrees by now.
