Default Lucky Jay

We arrived in the keys on Sunday. Got checked in at hotel at around 4:00 and then off to boat for the first trip of many, an evening tarpon trip at Bahia Honda bridge. Well wouldn't you know it, not fishing for 40 minutes and lucky Jay busts his cherry on his first tarpon. A beauty that I would estimate at around 90#. I say estimate because this fish actually took us out under the old Bahia Honda bridge and into the Atlantic. If you have ever fished this array ou know this is not the spot to be while hooked up to a tarpon. Just as we were ready to leader the fish for a third time along comes mr. Hammerhead and devours catch in one bite, estimate it at an easy 300#. Have the attack on video from go pro but being new to me I need to figure out how to get off camera and onto site. Back at it tomorrow for tarpon again in the a.m. I think Jay has tarpon fever as bad as I do now!

Wow; great news. Sorry Jay didn't get a photo of that Tarpon. How big was the boat when that Hammerhead hit Probably not big enough for me

So were you using mullet or crab?

Catch another!! And get that video downloaded
