Default 6/4 Mouth of Magothy

Had a few hours this morning so figured I'd give it a shot since I had some Intel from Garlien from the previous evening. Since going solo and only had a couple hours decided to put out slick and see what would happen. Rode around just north of where the fleet was set up and finally found a nice mark on a bunch of fish so anchored up just uptide of them and deployed the chum bag. In just a couple minutes first fish on and once to boat obviously a short caught in corner of jaw on circle hook and quickly released. Wasnt long after that got a solid run off and just after a few minutes nice one in the box just over 26". After a few more shorts another nice run off and a 23" beside boat but since alone and already had one bigger I released. Next hour or so was constant action with double hook ups but all shorts. Called it a day about 0915 and headed for the barn. Be out in the bluewater next week on first offshore trip out of OCMD.

Glad to hear there's some fish north of the bridge. Mike (garlein) texted me about them as well (thanks Mike). I cleaned the boat yesterday, and she sure shines.
I'll be in the slip soon.

Nice report. Are you freespooling the circle hooks or leaving the reel engaged?

Welcome home jay and I will start digging all the striper carcasses out of your slip!

That area has been real good for me 3 days out of the last 7...Tried Love Point but got nowhere near the fish I got on the western side...

I, like Mike, use a baitrunner or freespool the rods...Although I do keep one bait 2 to 3 foot off the bottom, in the slick, just in case a big one decides to swim lower...

Still looking for my first hard head of the year...Hopefully that happens this week.
