Default Last Week flounder fishing in OC...

Four trips with family...Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Phil joined us for the Thursday trip. We caught flounder, blues, and kingfish, but not a single sea bass or sea robin which was strange.

Took at least 1 keeper per trip which means that the new boat "Net Flounders" has lived up to her name on every trip in her albeit brief career by bringing home meat.

This year we took a 16",16.5",17",17.5",18" and a 20".

Phil and I took 3 of them (photo) on Thursday despite fishing in 20-25mph N winds all day. They forced us behind Assateague on the incoming tide and increased drift speed substanially but it didn't seem to matter because we also had clean water...caught 32 flounder in 4 hours.

My son Steve took the biggest on Monday just south of the Inlet (photo)
