Default Learn about Red Drum -FREE - Monday 16th

Red Drum are being caught more often now in the Chesapeake Bay - as far north as the Magothy river.

On Monday evening - the Broadneck / Magothy river chapter of MSSA will present a FREE seminar about this exciting fishery.

This is open to public - you do not be a MSSA member to attend.

Captain Chris Dollar ( better known as CD ) guides anglers with kayaks. He very graciously offered to explain theory on why the Red Drum are in our area and how to target them from shore , kayak and larger boats.

Captain Dollar will show the tackle and lures needed to catch these hard fighting and good eating fish. Great chance to learn how to target these fish. The Red Drum management plan only allows one per angler per day - 18 to 27 inches. This hopefully will allow this new fishery to grow.

Meeting starts at 7:30 pm - doors open at 7:00. We try to be done by 9:00. Enter on left hand side of building - under the overhang.

Captain Dollar will also have info / prices on his guided kayak trips - great way to learn first hand.

Location is American Legion Post #175 - 832 Manhattan Beach Rd Severna Park, MD 21146.

There is plenty of free parking - just observe the few reserved spots near doors.
