All of my rods are happy about the good news. I could tell because when I went to the garage tonight, they were all standing straight up in their stands instead of milling around the garage complaining about lack of use like last night

bhl (Bruce).

If you want more tackle; I have been using a basspro combo for catching spot the last three years on "Patent Pending". It is called "tiny lite". Talk about a fun little rod. Catch one spot, it feels like a monster, catch a double, you think moby dick is on the line
The spinning combo usually costs 24.99 but is on sale for 17.97
It is only 4'6" long and fits in any cabin.
Great for kids or adults. If you want a lot of hooping and hollering while catching bait, check it out.
When the reel gives out (at the end of the season), I buy a replacement for $10 at Clyde's Bait & Tackle
5th

Carrying 2 sets of rods for live lining sure saves time. My bottom rods are 5" long with a small spinning reel. I also carry a couple of conventional reels for the person who insists they can't use a spinning reel.
