Hi,
I'm Mike Burrows, 47 and married for 26 years. 2 grown step children and 4 grandchildren (21, 19, 14, 4). 22 years in the swimming pool mgnt/service industry and now 10 years as a network geek with Marriott. I have a 21' Aquasport dual console with a 200 Yami 4 stroke and a 16' jon with a 25 4 stroke. I'll fish for anything that swims with whatever method works however topwater anything is always a thrill. Fished with a couple on the board and am always willing to fish with others. I always learn something when I go out with other people especially on their boat. Guess I'm just a HO at heart. My name on the "Other" board is mburrows870.

Mike

I am Jerry Swartz, 56 and married for 30 years and live in Rockville, MD. I have two adult children (25 & 22). I work in the data warehousing business.

Started fishing the bay in 1978 with an English guy who taught me a lot about fishing in general. Once children came along I stopped for about 10 years. When I started again I fished the upper Potomac for smallmouth for 15 years and am now back on the bay. I start fishing in mid March and stop about mid December.

I have a 23' Boston Whaler Conquest 235 and fish out of the Rhode River. You can usually find me between the Bridge and Breezy Point and points east of them. As for type of fishing I like to troll, ltj, live line and bottom fish.

I don't fish in the winter but I do like target shooting with a shotgun. I shoot trap, skeet and sporting clays. Still get to shoot the bull with buddys.

I also like to do wood turning. My favorite projects here are segmented bowls, regular bowls, platters and goblets. Haven't tried turning top water plugs but might.

I'm Jeff Banks, 50 years old, and live in Rockville Md. I go by Joebass3 on the other site. I've been married for 22 years and have a 18 year old son who is in his first year at the University of Md.

I own an automotive repair shop in Bethesda. We specialize in Volvo repair, but also service most imports. My work seriously gets in the way of my fishing, so I fish with the crowds on the weekends.

I also own a Judge 27 Chesapeake and keep it in Ridge,Md. and fish out of St Jeromes Creek. Boat name is "Breakaway" and am obviously a hockey fan also. I have never skated in my life, but have had years of enjoyment watching my son play with the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association since he was 6.

Hey Jim, If you want to see what a hockey stick looks like, come on down and I'll show you

My name is Bill Herb. I am in the early half of my sixties. I live with my wife of many years, son, and chocolate Lab on Fairlee Creek near Chestertown. I work from home, and when I need to take a break, I watch the pair of eagles across the creek in their new nest.

Prior to my current gig, I was, at times, a consulting forester, an instructor in the repair of Army cryptologic equipment, a hydrologist, a computer specialist, a manager of hydrologists, an environmental manager for the Army, and a manager of an Army environmental software testing team.

I am a Pennsylvania Dutchman from the anthracite region, and remember a life with an outhouse and no running water. I have lived and worked in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, back to Pennsylvania, Texas, Minnesota, and finally back to Maryland. I do not intend to move again.

I grew up trout fishing on creeks that you could pee across, and graduated to fly fishing on larger streams in Pennsylvania. I also did a lot of rabbit and deer hunting. For most of my working career, I have been unable to make the time available to do as much fishing or hunting as I would have liked. Maybe before too long, I will step back from work a bit, and fit in more fishing and hunting between various family obligations.

I run a 1991 Grady White 228G, “Glory Days”, and just have re-powered with a brand spanking new Yamaha 4-stroke, which replaced my unreliable 1996 “big Johnson”. I am looking forward to better performance.

My Bay fishing interests are centered around LTJ and similar techniques, and I have no interest what-so-ever in trolling, let alone trolling with planer boards. However, I am a live-and-let-live kind of guy. I am far more interested in catch and release than catch and kill, and if I never put another fish in the box, that would be just fine with me. Well, maybe some perch.

In spite of a conservationist frame of mind, I have been known to eat both crabs and oysters (in moderation). I think that Omega Protein is a boil on the butt of mankind, and the Bay menhaden reduction industry should be eliminated, and a moratorium put on the harvest of Bay oysters.

Although I have been a NRA Life member since before some of you were a gleam in your daddy’s eye, I probably am quite a bit to the left of most of you politically, but as I said, I’m a live-and-let-live kinda guy and won’t hold your wrong-headedness against you.

Hello. Jeff Dearborn here. I'm 44 and I live in Severna Park. I've been married for 14 years have a 10 year old girl and a soon to be 9 year old boy. They have been my main fishing buddies since I purchased my 1st boat in July. I'm an F&I guy in the car business going on 21 years now.

I bought a new Key West 211 CC Bluewater and keep it at my inlaws pier on Greenwood Creek on the back side of Eastern Bay. I've been fishing all of my life. I've caught mahi mahi in Hawaii, fly fished in Colorado, caught black drum in Galveston and caught salmon and trout in Lake Michigan. But I like the Chesapeake Bay the best. The biggest rockfish (42")I ever caught was on Capt. Greg Buckner's boat Miss Susie. (I saw his name mentioned here)

I look forward to learning a lot from the people here. I want catch some of those monsters headed this way on my own boat.

My turn, Rick Walter 52 married and retired. I have 2 daughters 16 and 27.

I have been around boats since I was a kid. My dad liked the Solomans Island area, many memories from White Sands and the Ranch Club. My boat is a 2006 22' Sea Hunt DC with a Yamaha 225. I just started to try fishing again, I have a lot to learn. I do know how to catch crabs with a trotline

Hey Josh did you ever raise your motor or add tabs?

Hi, Jeff Newell here. I'm born and raised in Chestertown,MD. I work in sales for a local manufacturer and cover Viginia to Maine. With all this travel, I don't get out on the water nearly enough. I'm usually on a yellow hulled Judge 27' Chesapeake named "Sales Call" that I keep on the Chester River just above C-town. Married to a wife that LOVES boating (even fishing sometimes) and have 2 great dogs that love to boat as well. I hope to be able to get out fishing a bit more in the future. Surprisingly, the better I get at actually "catching" fish, the easier it is to find time to go. If you see me out, I try to monitor 68 but find myself usually turning it off fairly quickly. Just come by and toss me a sandwich or something, I'll stop.
