Need volunteers to take kids/police fishing next wednesday july 23rd

It is that time of year again when the MSSA helps organize volunteer boats for the Annapolis City Police Fish Camp for at-risk youth. This program helps foster a relationship between kids and officers in their community and exposes the kids to healthy activities.

If you have a boat over 22' and can volunteer your time to help take an officer and a few kids (middle school age) fishing on July23rd from Sandy Point State Park, it would be appreciated. We typically fish from around 8 am until just after lunch.

Bait and ice are being supplied by the MSSA. You do not have to be an expert fisherman as the kids are happy to just catch spot, perch and croaker. Plus, all boats try to help each other out if you want to try to pursue rockfish too...

I've volunteered for this event before - trust me - it is a lot of fun , plus you get a chance to show at risk youth the better side of life.

Even though the kids are only on your boat for a few hours - they learn many important lessons about life.

Just the fact strangers will offer up their boats / time means a lot to these kids.

Kindness goes a long way.

Due to work schedule - have to miss it this year.
