Oh No/Gas in the bilge

I replaced mine 5 yrs. ago. Mine is aluminum and 100 gal. They had to cut the fiberglass away to pull the engine out. Then cut through the wall into the rear bedroom. Then cut the floor to get the tank out. All in all total cost was $5,000.00

Hopefully, mine won't be that involved. On a 22 wa I don't have a bedroom or anything that complicated. I took up the deck and it looks like you can see almost all of the tank. The hoses are easily assessable as well. Just have to wait and see how the pressure test turns out.
Since it's at Bill's; maybe I will get mentioned in "prop talk".

Marty, I hope everything works out. If it is the fuel tank it’s not that bad just some work involved and a good glass person. I have been trying to find time to post some reports but things have been busy. If you need a ride drop me a line.

I'm pretty fortunate that my fuel tank looks pretty easy to replace when the time comes.

That's the great thing about an pld bass boat....just remove threar wooden deck, pull the tank and put a new one in.

It has a 12 gallon tank now but I'll probably put an 15 gallon tank in when the time comes. 3 extra gallons won't add much weight but it'll increase my time between refills greatly.

Spot77; no real update yet. Bill said they may have to cut the old tank out because it goes forward of my deck about 20-22 inches. I'm hoping that once they get the old tank out, they can drop in another (perhaps smaller) tank fairly easily. It has a 110 gal tank in it now, a 80-90 gal tank may slide in the existing place more easily.
Wed. thru Sunday looks like great boating weather, I hope everyone gets out and enjoys being on the water.
