Thumbs up From south of the border

Fished 3 days south of deal.
Friday, had our 5 fish by 10:00 and released 2 on the way back north.
Saturday had our 5 fish by 9:30 and released 1 more on the way north.
Sunday went to same place and must have been 150 boats. No bites so we zig zagged south along with 150 boats. I got tired of that and went north to where we were Friday. Got there at 11:00 and got our 2 fish in 15 minutes. Thankfully I only had 2 guys to catch a fish for because it was getting rough and I was tired.
All fish on boards except one deep and one on the wwb.
Fishing 58 to 70'
All fish took baits with green on them.
Question for anyone - All of our fish came on the port board spread. I switched starboard to match port and still nothing on starboard. Has anyone else had this happen. I even tried to make turns to both sides. I'm about ready to leave the starboard board at the dock.
Big thanks to Gary at Spankin Striper Baits for making some nice lures.
Hope to be out Wednesday.

Sounds like you had 3 nice days. I had similar luck with green baits on Thursday and Friday, but Saturday white was the ticket. Nice catching!!

Default Port board

Preseason, I only ran a port board, yesterday was my first trip with both boards and both hits were on the port, Coincidence, maybe.

When I'm out with Mike (Garlien) it seems like our starboard side rods get hit at about a 6:1 ratio over the port side.

I guess I could overthink it and try to blame it on prop wash or some other unseeable factor.

Doesn't seem to matter who's driving, or what direction we're going.

OK good, because I was beginning to think that all fish comming towards the boat had to pass port to port.

I did give some thought to prop or exhaust. My exhaust is on the starboard side.

Same person set both sides?

Anytime I fish with Paul, who runs my port side, I just keep turning to starboard everytime I can to drop those lines then ask what did he do wrong when setting the lines

Isn't it obvious?? Think about it; which way are the fish always swimming on your FF? Always to the port!!! . Actually the port side was the hot side for us today.

I second the big thanks to Gary at Spankin' Stripers!! I pull a bunch of his baits and they preform really well. I've even been running two of his massive 33oz with a 9oz trailing it and they both caught fish (on the 9oz).

Now that you mention it - the port board has been catching better but have gotten some off starboard board.
