Default Easter at #86 w pics

Left Sandy Point at 6:00 am with Jalopy ( John ). Ran SE towards #86 - watching the radar with one eye and fish finder with the other. Not much on either unit. Got near #86 and found one other boat there but they seemed to be trolling awful fast.

Put out the boards and the six rods. Got a fish on and John reeled it in.

Fat fish that was full of fight for it's size.

Worked around the area and over towards TPL but only got a log in the tide line. Current was slack and time was short so we headed back at about 11:00.

Saw two guys swimming - on purpose - between the jetty and bridge.

Asked if they were OK - they said yes. Water is still chilly. Heard of a few fish caught but still most consider it very slow. Hopefully next few weeks will bring in more fish.

Skip, I had my dad down for the weekend. Almost was able to sneak out a and accept the offer for a ride, but once my mom and wife decided to do Easter lunch at 11, that was it. Glad you got out and found some fish.
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks for the report. Saw you fly by us around 11-11:15, we were trolling around the anchorage. We also had a slow day, only 1 fish but it sure was nice to get out for a couple hours.

You had one of the nicest days to be on the water. Glad you got out and thanks for the update. Hey that other boat was it only trolling 6 rods.
