Default Out fished by a 10 year old...

...And I could not have been happier...

A short trip in a familiar spot on the west side....Took my youngest son out for about an hour today...Getting the kids out on the water and enjoying a good day/night of fishing is one of the best things in the world...

He ended up catching the first fish, last fish, smallest fish, biggest fish, and of course, most fish...Close to a couple dozen nice perch, one that just missed citation size, and a few cats...Didn't have time to catch a good current, so I had a night without getting some nice stripers......Not bad for just under an hour of fishing...

Water gets clearer every day, still wouldn't open the boat up in the main bay, but the debris is less and less...Most of it is in the creeks and entry ways.....

Water still around 72 degrees, sun is hitting the deck around 7:00...Still no birds...

The start of the week has been good for me...Get out there and get us some mroe reports...

You just have to say, "Beetlespin Beetlespin BEETLESPIN" and the White Perch will show up. (Yeah I know....cheesy movie reference.)

That's as perfect a night with your son as anyone could ask for.

Let's hope this year still holds many more great days and nights like this.

You can't ask for a better outcome and the smile on your boys face tells it all. Thanks for the report and I bet your boy can't wait to get back out there and by the way that is a really nice perch...
