I normally run 10-12 rods in my spread. I run planners with 100’ of line with the let back they are roughly 65' 70’ off each side normally take out 5 total with a max of 6 anglers on the boat trolling. Last year during a skunk day I had 14 rods out. It didn’t get the skunk off.

Evidently more rods didn’t equal more fish that day.

Depends. 6-8 when by myself....and even sometimes just 4. But when my son or others are on board I load em up.

I'll run anywhere from 3 rods (out alone for a couple hours) to the Full Monte of 19 rods and 2 dummy lines.......and anywhere in between depending on season, crew and conditions.

Normally 22. This consists of 14 board rods and 8 boat rods. I can easily go to 24 when I have my buddy along who brings two extra rods and little rod riggers. Buying the rod riggers and the extra rods for me would be like a 300 dollar investment and I am not sure it's worth it.

I don't think 24 rods doubles your catch over a 12 rod spread, but, it can't hurt.

I've run as many as 16, usually about 12 though.
