Default Bass Pro Deals

Bass Pro started their big sale today. I went over with a couple items in mind, and of course spent more than I anticipated.

Here is what I wound up buying.
1) Offshore Angler fishing line, 1/4 and 1/2 Lb (buy two spools/get one free)
2) Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon line for jigging leaders (2 dollars off)
3) Minnow bucket (5 dollars) for the ponds
4) Startron (9.97)

That's all I thought I would spend, but they had the Frogg Togg (Toads) bibs in the store (not on sale). I have seen the Toad pants, but I wanted the bibs. Mike (rich Mike) had a pair on this winter when we were fishing Virginia waters in January
They are head and shoulders above the regular Frogg Toggs. Although they were not on sale, I at least got to try them on and find the correct size.
Bass Pro had their version of Frogg Toggs (look nearly identical) marked down from 24.99 to 16.99 and finally to 12.99 Anyone looking for a cheap rain outfit, you can't beat that price.

I'll buy more junk from Clydes when they have their Spring Sale in March.

p.s. for Mike They are going to have the Cotton Cordell (rattletrap) lures on sale 4/$5 on March 9th.

I bought a pair of those less expensive Frog Toggs a few years ago and I really like them.

However I learned that wearing them while cooking is a TERRIBLE idea. We were camping and I was making sausage and bacon on a camp stove. A single little grease pop landed on the pants and burned a hole through them immediately; almost like a piece of newspaper catching on fire.

I still use them; I just put a little piece of duct tape over the hole

I love that I can stuff the jacket and pants into the tiny bag provided with them. Easy to stow away on the boat.
