Default Tournament Report

Here is our brief tournament report:

We put in at 5:30 at Sandy Point all three days.

Friday: 3 anglers, 15 lines, 12 off boards with tandems, two deep umbrellas, one 21 Tony wwwb. Kept small fish early to break the ice, nothing until noon, then two quick fish. Kept fish #2 after some debate. Fish #3 was a little bigger but returned to keep a spot open. Poor killbox management in hindsight. We checked in one skinny 36” @ 15#. All fish way out on the boards just north of bay bridge.

Saturday: 2 anglers, Skunk, almost wrapped planer board around bay bridge. Let’s not talk about it. Bay bridge area.

Sunday: 3 anglers, 15 lines, 12 off boards with mostly tandems, one umbrella off boards, tandem giant junebug spinner bait parachutes off the boards, two deep umbrellas, one 21 Tony wwwb. Early hit at Bloody Point Light. Fish landed on tandem way out on boards. 28” rock released, bunker snagged on other parachute of the tandem also released unharmed. Then big hit on Junebug tandem parachute, but after 2 minutes she spit the bait. The one that got away. Picked up a 32” on western side across from bloody in 32’, kept.

Slow, but learned a lot, and checked in a fish. No prize $$, but a victory none the less. Hope everyone else had fun to. I wish all small craft advisory days were like Sunday.

Nice work!

I think between the full moon (fish can feed at night) and evidence of may worms made for a tough bite. Still great to get out on the water.
