Trolling bite heating up
Fished out of SPSP, saw some familiar friends (skip and marty), and caught some fish. Only my baits with mylar caught. White on white with black head tandem had it going on. Marked some big pods of bait and saw a lot of gannets.
Also heard reports of gannets being caught as well as sailboats

Alright, alright. I'll go see Alltackle. Guess I need to add some mylar to my spread.
Were you fishing solo too? Maybe you and Skip should link up.
I'm jealous, looked like a nice day to be out there, and all these guys available to jump onboard with.

Mark, let me know when you want to go. We definately need to fish together again soon! Keith's baits have produced when all my others havent. Today again was proof to me that they work on especially on bright sunny days
I had Dave Smith of the MSSA with me. He was testing some "fish tagger application" for the iPhone and Andriod. It may be a way for them to run a catch, photo, release tournament or even C&R division in their current tournaments in the future. I am not a computer guy and my company is Blackberry based so it was all Greek to me. BTW, Dave got himself a porker of 40"er..

I picked up my boat from BOE marine and dunked it at Matapeake just to check my engine. I had a new ECM and O2 sensor installed. Motor ran great. I only had out three wwb lines and darn if a sailboat didn't cut behind me and drag all the lines into a lovely mess I gave him the universal "wtf" sign and he waved
A second sailboat took aim on me and I took early evasive maneuvers. With only three lines, I was pretty mobile.
Sailboat was on autopilot . Captain finally came up and turned away
There were literally miles between boats, and the sailboats were taking aim on me.
I do better when there is a sailboat race off the Severn

Go ahead and tease me about that vicious Gannet - next time you call - I'll tell you bite is off #78A
I debated going to hospital for X ray of the finger but how in the hell do you explain a bird bite ?
Congrats on the 40 incher.

Just teasing you Skip. Thanks for the intel on the bait. I must say that I like not getting out until late and hearing of a close bite by friends.
I will also say that I was hoping to hear that gannets taste like chicken.

Good talking to you boys out there today. I had a "future new Judge owner" on board for a few hours before I had to go to work. Jason has a 27 Chesapeake under construction with Judge Yachts soon to be ready. I let Jason do all the work today while I supervised Kinda of liked it May do this more often...............................Mark

No winter jellies for us. Had a bunch of trash in a tideline though.
Mark, there are lots of Judge 27's on the bay now. Kind of cool to see the local brand grow some in the down economy

I'll second that!!
I plan to go Sunday for sure and probably Sat afternoon too. Shouldn't be too crowded if the wind continues to increase every time I check it If I stop looking it will it be locked in at 16mph??
